.....so I killed him.
He looks dead doesn't he? Whenever it's warm outside, this is where you'll find him. If I let him out, I have to bribe him back inside with food. Here he is sunbathing his belly:
I love my big headed dog. He's a sweet boy.

Why is it
that the sky falls when Brandon is gone? Is he REALLY that important? Am I not able to handle this by myself? Are we really supposed to do this together? Is the Priesthood REALLY that important? If you answered Yes, No, Yes, Yes, then you just won. Be sure to check your mailbox several times a day for your reward.
I'm assuming that the answers are YNYY. Because things literally fall apart when he's gone. It was by far the worst when he was in Iraq, because there was so much more time for things TO fall apart.
Thank goodness he's coming home in less than two weeks. I'm not sure about how much more falling apart I can take. The latest event would be food poisoning.
I took the younger three to Mc Donald's for lunch on Saturday. I ordered them apples instead of fries(without the caramel sauce). I got to see those apples again 12 hours later. Coming out of three small children. It started with Seth. He literally threw up every 5-15 minutes the WHOLE night. By 5am, he was alternating ends. It was so bad I just put him in bed with me so when he started coughing, I could just sit up and catch it. I had a pile of diapers and the wipes of the end of the bed and when he needed a diaper change he got the wipes and handed them to me. I was thankful for the help. LOL At 7am, while I was changing a diaper no less, Sterling started coughing and threw up in his bed. At the same time, Spencer came running down the hall to the bathroom. They are all still at it now. It got so bad yesterday, that I took them to the ER. They gave them some Zofram (?) and it stopped the throwing up.
Thank goodness, because I've got more laundry to do than should be allowed by law.
With all of the throwing up, it really was only the apples that made an appearance. The human body is amazing. How their digestive systems could digest all the other food they ate AFTER the apples, but not allow the "toxic" food to pass through amazes me. We are divinly designed aren't we?
Stay tuned, because I'm sure something else will happen before next Friday. Any guesses? I'll be sure to send another reward to the winner. That or a bill....

We now have clean vents
Because of the cat falling down the vent and coming out so dusty, the management office sent a company over to clean out the vents. Here is a before picture. Be sure to click on it so in enlarges. Just don't do it if you have a weak stomach.
Can you say disgusting? I thought I was going to DIE when they took the cover off. This was the return air duct so all of the air going through the system had to go through this first. NICE. I can't believe we've been able to even breathe here. Thank goodness for the cat.

Boredom
I find that most boredom occurs during the extreme weather months. At least that's the case with my boys. They tend to look for something to do when they're bored. It usually causes something to get broken, or someone to get hurt. They have been bored a lot lately. So has the dog. I haven't walked him in a while and he's pretty wound up and getting into stuff and causing trouble. I can fix that by taking him for a walk, but I'm trying to save gas. LOL. In my efforts to calm down the boy's boredom, I took the kids to see the Great Mouse yesterday. For those of you not familiar with who that is, you may know him better by the name of Chuck E. Cheese.
I never knew that cats get bored too.
I was in the kitchen making dinner when I heard this anguished cry. It happened over and over again. I stood in the hallway, with my head cocked to the side, trying to hear from where this pitiful cry was coming from. Our cat is like most, and is very nosy. He's been shut up in a closet more than once because of him nosiness, so I started looking in all the closets whiling thinking to myself, "That cry sounds like it's coming from downstairs." I sent the boys down to "investigate." They confirmed my suspicions, but couldn't locate the poor, sad, little cat. I headed down there and looked all around the air/heat unit and couldn't find that cat anywhere. But he was SO loud at this point I knew he had to be INSIDE the heating system. I went upstairs to turn off the timer and take the rolls out of the oven and it hit me. THE VENT UNDER THE BED WAS KNOCKED OFF THE WALL. That dumb cat crawled into the hole where the vent cover is supposed to be and crawled/fell all the way back to where the fan and return air ducts are. CRAZY. I took the cover off where the filter goes and then moved the filter. Out came that poor, sad, little cat like a flash. He was COVERED in dust. I'm still sneezing just thinking about it.

For the sake of not seeing the same thing AGAIN
I don't have anything to really post about today, but I am tired of seeing the same ol' same ol' each time I get on here. I'm sure if I type long enough I'll figure something out. I am the person who's been getting in trouble for talking since....well, for as long as I can remember. Let's be honest, I've got the gift of gab down to a fine art. Now if I could only figure out a way to get paid for it.....
Brandon will be home in less than three weeks. It's gone by fast. There have been moments of difficulty, but for the most part, it's been pretty good. I've complained a great deal to him, but that's because it's normally the end of the day when we finally catch up and I'm usually at my breaking point by then.
We're thinking about buying a house here in the great state of MIZZURA. We really like it here. We're hoping to be able to put down some roots and stay a while. We'll see what the Lord has in store for us. We'll let you know as soon as He lets us know. Until then, we'll all be in the dark together.
Maybe someone could send me a night light........???.........

I am special and belong to an ELITE group of people
My throat has been hurting since last week sometime. It got really bad on Sunday so I decided to go to the clinic here on base and do a walk in throat culture. It was negative. But as is always the case, they sent it to the lab. They called me this morning and told me it cultured positive. Did you know that only 5% of the cultures sent to the lab are actually positive? Hence my membership in the ELITE group. I now belong to the 5%. I know you're jealous. Really you shouldn't be. I know it's hard to let me have my glory. Husband gone for two months, five kids, CRAZY dog, Primary presidency, cold weather, and a bad hair-do. I realize how envious you all must be. But you really should just be grateful for your lot in life and let me have mine. Come on.
On a totally different note, for the first time in almost eight years, we no longer have a baby in the house. Seth has graduated to full toddler hood. He no longer uses the high chair, and sleeps in a big boy bed. Before I know it, we'll be potty training and I'll no longer have one in diapers. By the time that happens, it will be the first time in EIGHT YEARS. Can't say I'll be sad about that.
